Introduction from the General Manager of the World Trade Network
We sincerely wish to contribute to solving social issues by not purely seeking to maximize our profits but also considering and responding to the expectations and trust of all of our surrounding stakeholders, including our customers, our shareholders and our employees.
We’re focused on conducting business in a transparent, ethical manner. This includes working to maximize our global impact through charitable contributions, employee volunteering and more — while minimizing our global footprint.
Commitment to social and environmental responsibility and our belief in giving back to the communities in which we live and work are critical to our long-term success. We recognize that sustainable growth comes from operating with absolute integrity and in a way that respects our shareholders, clients, employees, communities and the environment.
We are committed to the principles of sound governance and to helping our clients succeed.
We are dedicated to ensuring a global and inclusive workplace where employees feel valued and engaged. We believe we have a responsibility to enrich our communities, and to be a leader in environmental sustainability, both in the way we carry out our operations and in the products and services we offer.
We expect the vendors with whom we interact to bear a responsibility to define their own policies with regard to human rights, while making them aware of our standards. At a minimum, we expect suppliers and their supply chain to comply fully with all applicable laws and regulations in the conduct of their business as well to meet appropriate standards related to labor practices, wages and workplace safety. Where practical, we also work with our vendors to encourage the utilization of responsibly and sustainably produced goods and services.
Yours sincerely
